There is infinite data to consider when making a choice. Or you could just trust the process.

It's often hard for us to make a decision but it doesn't have to be like that. I will explain this with words of Alan Watts which is a great inspiration for me. I could listen to his speeches for hours having constant mind-blows.

Have you decided yet?

“You do not know where your decisions come from, they pop up like hiccups. People have a great deal of anxiety about making decisions, ‘Did I think this over long enough? Did I take enough data into consideration?’
And if you think it through you find you never could take enough data into consideration, the data for a decision in any given situation is infinite. So what you do is you go through the motions of thinking about out what you will do about this, but worriers are people who think of all the variables beyond their control, and what might happen!

…Choice is the act of hesitation that we make before making a decision, it is a mental wobbling, and so we are always in a dither of doubt as to whether we are behaving the right way, doing the right thing, and so on and so forth, and lack a certain kind of self confidence. And if you see you lack self confidence, you will make mistakes through sheer fumbling. If you do have self confidence you may get carried away doing the entirely the wrong thing. You have to regard yourself as a cloud, in the flesh, because you see clouds never makes mistakes. Did you ever see a cloud that was misshapen? Did you ever see a badly designed wave? Heh, no they always do the right thing! But if will treat yourself for awhile as a cloud, a wave, and realize that you can’t make a mistake, whatever you do. Because even if you do something that seems to be totally disastrous, it all come out in the wash somehow or other. Then through this capacity you will develop a kind of confidence, and through confidence you will be able to trust your own intuition.”

Alan Watts

What I tried to say was - do what you love and trust your own self. Everything you do will turn out exactly as it had to be.

One of many things that I love is writing poetry. As you begin to write more and more, you come back to something you've written before without remembering any of it at all.

Here's a short poem for you.

He is writing again.

Thoughts coming in

and out of his head.

Chained to the earth.

.

Grinding again.

Making decisions

And fighting within.

There is no sin, is there?

.

Finally there.

Thoughts, expectations.

You're right in the end,

beautiful friend.

I believe that any of us can become anything we want.

Is it on this plane or another.

If you can imagine it - it can happen.

Have faith in yourself!

PS. I think everyone has already seen it but it could be the first time for you.

Alan Watts - choice - a short insight to what his speaches are about.

Nice post, and thanks for the follow btw, followed you right back @rishherbalist

Thanks for the feedback.

Always grateful. Lets keep growing together, stronger and stronger each moment and day.

Yes to this!!

I am being challenged at present with the choices I have made in the past, and the choices I have to make now....

... is this the right choice...?
... what happens if...?

I heard this same Alan Watts lecture the other day (he is pretty inspiring, isn't he?!?) and so reading this was a good reminder to be true to my nature.

I teach this to my clients - in Taoist Alchemy, making choices is associated with the Virtue of yi, appropriateness. One has to be very clear on one's self-worth and values to be able to make appropriate choices for them.

Philosophically, its a fascinating notion - living it day to day can be a challenge.

Thanks for sharing your perspective.
And yes, it is a challenge to trust your own self but in the end it is definitely worth it.

Keep yourself inspired and grateful. Peace.

Nice post man. I know how it is when a person starts to doubt the universe and everything collapses immediately. Always believe the first catch of your mind.

Precieve with your eyes not with your mind.

Thanks for your perspective!

Trust in yourself and let the universe help because deep down you know - the universe is within.

Thanks @spellmaker ... we keep on Steeming ;)
