The little house of the ants was near the house of the beetles. One of the ants always walked alone with red gloves and a yellow pouch. The house of the ants was made of bread crusts that they picked up from the ground and near a strong stone that could withstand the wind and the rain.
Every morning, when the first rays of the sun came out, the ant prepared to walk and enjoy singing. Yes sir, what the little ant liked the most was singing. On days when storms would not let her enjoy her walk, she would open the window and hum his favorite songs. The beetles loved their neighbor very much, for they rejoiced every morning.
The ant had been singing for two years and actually sang better every time. The rest of the ants endured with a lot of patience, because she, once she had just finished singing, was very generous and helped them in everything.
But one day other neighbors came to the neighborhood: the flies. The flies made a cave-like house and there were at least fifteen flies. Every day the ant went out to sing, but it was a problem because no one could hear it from the fluttering of the flies. In all the houses the only noise that sounded was the PSSSS, PSSSS ... constantly. The ant began to feel very, but very sad, she could not do what she liked most, because she did not even hear herself singing.
The days passed and the ant decided not to sing again. Her companions tried to motivate her, but she no longer wanted to take her yellow bag and go singing in the neighborhood. Then they decided to talk to all their neighbors, including the flies, to try to cheer her up and give her a surprise.
The ants dragged bits of wood until they set up a kind of stage. The flies picked up small pieces of flower petals that they placed around them. The beetles dressed in their finest clothes waiting for the ant to come out the window and be able to surprise her.
When all was ready one of the ants decided to warn her that she had to go out to pick up a piece of bread they had seen outside. The ant went out into the street and what was her surprise when she saw all her neighbors clapping and chanting for a song. The ant understood nothing and a fly explained it all:
"We are very sorry dear ant. We have been told that you love to sing and that now you are sad and you do not because we make a lot of noise and we do not organize in our cave. We do not want this to happen so if you sing for us every day we will come out to see you and then we will continue with our flights.
-That would be great!
The ant was thrilled. The rest of the ants showed him the stage and brought him his red gloves and his yellow bag. The ant decided to sing his favorite songs and did it better than ever. All the neighbors were glad to see her this happy and enjoyed being together as good neighbors.
Beautiful little story. I enjoyed it. Upvoted.
