The re-steem can be helpful to someone new, as any followers u do have will see the post u resteemed. And IF u resteem quality stuff, well, it enhances your reputation.
Wow!!! I see the points. This thing is very deep and needs a lot of wisdom. I saw someobdy small, comment on a whale, and another whale upvote his comment, and he made $5. So resteem could help those process and make your own page more interesting but still need a fine balance. I also saw some new people did whole bunch of resteem on everything different topic and not going anywhere.
