Today I'll be starting a book which I will be sharing hopefully on a weekly basis, chapter by chapter. All chapters would be under the tag @thetravellernovel, so to find my novel follow that tag and you'll see the novel in the order of its chapters. I would like to appreciate @vermillionfox and @stach whose writing contests have stirred up the desire to write and I hope to see alot of people following my novel.
The cover of the book is not yet ready so I'll be using a temporary cover photo.

So her Goes....
THE TRAVELLER
TALES of legends, stories of kings, quests of warriors and Journeys of adventurers. This tale begins in a world unlike our own, a place where men live on clouds and dragons roam the seas. This tale begins in a small town named Owklam and is the story that revolves around a boy named Braun.
Opening his eyes, brown squinted as the rays of the red sun fell through his window beckoning that a new day had come. Braun jumped off his bed and quickly ran to the bathroom to wash his face. His eyes glinted green through the reflection in the mirror. He had a long day in front of him and was ready to face it. He picked up his sac bag and ruffled his hair into shape as he ran out of the house. Just as though in cue, Raja, his 6 feet bird ran in front of him sitting for him to climb onto his back. The Lars were the most loyal of creatures in the nine lands as they were known to give up their lives without hesitation for whoever they were sired to if it came to that. These magnificent creatures were the beasts of the sky's second only to the Flying dragons who were closer to extinction than ever before. Brown held on tight as Raja in one powerful stroke projected them about 6 feet into the air, causing a wave that threw Mrs Pendley's clothes off the drying lines. Raja roared as he flapped his wings, pushing harder after every stroke. Braun pulled down his glasses as they soared through the skies heading towards the town called Elber. If only he had known that he wouldn't be seeing home for a long time, he would have taken a better look and savored the view. Raja, a remarkably brilliant creature knew that Braun was late and moved with speed and agility as they headed closer and closer to Elber, the cloud town.
Elber situated about 20km above sea level was a town which sat on a cloud. In this world, men chose the clouds which were much more safer than the ground. Elber was a land of none, you could find everyone and everything in this town. From Pirates to Bounty hunters, you could even find the sclori, the elite guard of the king of the north. It was strange that they would wonder so far.
Raja landed with a loud thud and Braun slid off his back and ran into the shack. In a brief moment he had changed his clothing and was ready for work. Raja worked in a bar, trying to raise some money to fend for his single mother who worked twice as hard to keep food on the table for him and his sister. In this bar, he met all kinds of people who were passing through the town while on quests or those looking to make a quick buck from the numerous opportunities Elber gave.
After about an hour of work, the door bell rang as a man walked in. As Braun saw him he was instantly captivated by his eyes which were dark as granite glittering in the day light. The man was sleeveless with scars all over his arms and tattoos where the scars weren't. As though also observing Braun, this man walked towards him walking slowly and gently. He came go the counter and asked the most unexpected question in the history of Brauns life. "Are you Braun Pendley? "
This is remarkable, I love it
Thanks alot
