Earlier this week, WWE took to YouTube & posted a list of top 5 dream WrestleMania matches for John Cena. Featuring big main roster names on the list, oddly the NXT superstar Velveteen Dream was mentioned in the list as well.
Although with rumors buzzing still around the internet, Lars Sullivan was reportedly scheduled for a match with Cena at WrestleMania come April. However, these plans may have been scrapped due to Sullivan having an anxiety attack prior to an episode of Monday Night RAW. The company hasn’t reportedly been in contact with Sullivan since the incident.
Having that Velveteen Dream has no match scheduled at NXT TakeOver: Phoenix, fans think he may have bigger plans for the following night at the Royal Rumble. Possibly to lead up to a feud with Cena for the “Grandest Stage of Them All.”
Even The Dream has taken to Twitter, saying he WILL wrestle Cena one day.
Despite Dream having his fair share of social media stunts in the past (telling fans to spam WWE to call him up), this could be all a big coincidence & WWE has zero intentions to make this match happen.
No matter the outcome, this will be interesting to see unfold.
