According to a new report by AndroidHeadlines, the Redmi Note 5 has been tipped to powered by Snapdragon 630 SoC and run on Android Nougat 7.0 based MIUI 9.0 OS. On the other Redmi Note 4, which is already one of the most popular Xiaomi smartphones from the 'Redmi' series is powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC and runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 based MIUI 8.0 OS.
From what we know so far, Redmi Note 5 is said to sport a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080p) display with improved outdoor visibility and the enhanced contrast gamut. As mentioned earlier, the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm s octa-core Snapdragon 630 SoC, coupled with Adreno 508 GPU. Xiaomi is expected to drop a 2GB RAM and 16GB storage variant this time. Unlike Redmi Note 4, the successor Redmi Note 5 can come in two variants with 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM, paired with 32GB and 64GB of internal storage, respectively.
