I present to you a project that will bring more accuracy and reliability of geolocation data, at a time when each of us is constantly using the Internet and geolocation technology (GPS, GLONASS). In history, there are already cases when the data were compromised or falsified. All systems are centralized and have a number of vulnerabilities, both locally and everywhere they are used. They can be faked, replaced, create a radio channel background that will not allow the system to contact GPS or GLONASS satellites, it is obvious that this issue needs to be done, the system needs an upgrade!
I present to you the project XYO NetWork which works in the field of data for more than one year. The company is going to give a second wind to geolocation systems, upgrade them and eliminate the possibility of data falsification. The solution became possible with the help of blockchain technology using smart contracts and building an ecosystem based on cryptoprotocols with proof of location.
Proof of location has its ancestor from another system, the so-called proof of origin. I will not dissemble, the system is reliable, but not without flaws. To prove the origin of no trust if we assume the possibility of cloning private keys, or to question one of the nodes providing the system – the second is possible in the implementation of hacker DDoS attacks. The systems are more suitable for closed use, where you can exclude all variants of hacking and substitution.
XYO Network has developed a data signing system throughout the information exchange chain among the participants of the working environment. The operating principle is simple, and it eliminates the possibility of data substitution without damaging the unit.
Motion of packets of data in network XYO:
When transporting data, XYO uses the Transit key of the chain. This allows you to connect data packets using a private temporary key for two consecutive packets. The public key is stored with the data as it moves forward, which will be connected to the private temporary keys. The recipient can verify the integrity of the data by comparing that both packages were signed with the same private key. To move packages to the next recipient, the sender will need another private temporary key, which must match the public keys of the sender and recipient. This algorithm for signing packets during their transportation eliminates their damage without breaking the serial keychain, which guarantees the integrity of the data delivered through the entire chain to the recipient.
The XYO network consists of four main components that allow the platform to provide geo-oriented, reliable and consistent verification of the transmitted data:
* Sentinels: as heuristic witnesses, Sentinels (guards) vouch for the accuracy and accuracy of heuristics through temporary registers.
* Bridges: these components are heuristic stenographers. They securely transmit information from General Ledger to sentinels, to higher components. This adds an extra layer of proof of origin to the system, ensuring that data received from sentinels is made through a secure channel and is not compromised.
* Archivists: the main function of these components is to store all data in a decentralized manner so that it can be reproduced with greater accuracy. Even if some of the Archivists fail or are compromised, data from other Archivists will allow them to be reproduced without change, with Geolocation accuracy at a lower level.
* Diviner: this component responds to requests related to Geolocation of data through the judging of witnesses based on their proof of origin. Unlike clocks and bridges, Soothsayers are encouraged for their work through proof of work, adding extra security to the system.
Due to the similar architecture of interaction of components, the possibility of falsification of data is excluded.
At this moment XYO only blocking c support Ethereum smart contracts ERC-20 standard. But the developers say that the project will grow and expand its capabilities in supporting other blockchain projects using smart contracts, providing the ability to use XYO through the API. In addition to the possibility of communication with different blockchain projects, XYO Network will enable developers to create decentralized applications dApps dependant or use geolocation systems for their work.
