The main listing is available in a new cryptocurrencies section of the site :
The data is coming from the CryptoCompare api , giving access to all the essential info for the top 100 cryptocurrencies by trading volume.
Unfortunately the summary information listed is incorrect and needs to be updated :(
Historic trading data is also available going back to April 17th 2016 .

It's really hard to say, all of the crypto markets are crazy right now. If btc has a serious reversal and consolidation I would expect a drop short term, but as we approach the launch of HF20 and Smart Media Tokens I assume less people will be willing to dump that much..

There is definately an upsurge in interest. If we build up our own eco-system as much as we possibly can, it will accelerate STEEM becoming widely accepted. STEEM is faster, free to transfer, and tied to content creation, none of wich applies to BTC.

That's great news! I was waiting for this feature to retrieve the current prices for cryptocurrency and use them in Numbers (Excel for Apple). This makes it much easier for me to keep track of my crypto investments. If you decide to do this as well, please keep in mind that hackers could access your documents.
When I saw this I have the exact same thoughts as you. I keep records of my transactions in Numbers but unfortunately it only supports BTC for now. As far as I know, Numbers pulls the data from Yahoo Finance and hopefully they will integrate these currencies asap.

Yeah I'm using =CURRENCY(A1;"EUR";price). In field A1 I'm entering BTC for example, but this could be any cryptocurrency which is currently supported by Yahoo.

Cryptocurrency is the future, people will doubt this but try to understand how it works, paper money has a value because we look it that way but generally it’s just a paper that generate trust in a transaction because the government is backing it up, the difference is that paper money can be manipulated by some firm or the government itself, its a centralised form of process. Cryptocurrency act differently it’s transparent between traders each trade for example must be agreed by the network composed by the traders machine, and every machine can see if it’s a fake transaction/exchange, it so hard to counterfeit and manipulated, it uses the cryptography kind of technology to secure every transaction (is the same technology used to protect data that goes to public internet ‘https’) and most importantly each single transaction is recorded it’s impossible to delete old transaction because it’s listed on every traders machine if someone try to do it some traders will see and mark it as invalid transaction.
This is awesome. A futures market for bitcoin launching yesterday, yahoo finance listing crypto coins today, can't wait to see what the future has in store.
On a side note, who still uses yahoo? haha

The start of cryptocurrency, not to many others took interest or paid much attention, including myself. A newbie to it all until recently. I had no idea there is 108 different cryptocurrencies. Holy cow, wish I would have paid more attention at the beginning. Paying attention now, and looks like many others will be doing the same.
