Great goal! yoga definitely helps with small spinal adjustments, just be sure to gradually work your way up to whatever goals you set for yourself in order to minimize the risk of injury or any pain.
& yes, flexibility when we are young is extremely prevalent, but tends to head the other way with age lol I remember I used to be able to put my foot behind my head, but now I could never do that due to the ways my hips and knees developed when my body started to change.
