As we begin the authoritative practice of yoga, we use it alongside meditation as a resource to calm the fluctuations of the mind. So... A prompt from YTT last night, dare to share your thought: What are some stories and myths you have made up about yourself that are untrue?
When we bring these myths to the light, we expose them for what they are.
💁Maybe you tell yourself that you must look or act a certain way.
🖍Maybe you subscribe to a political or religious view because that's what each generation before you believed.
💞Maybe you have told yourself for years your unworthy of love or safety.
When you sit with the question for a few minutes, what pops up? As we understand what untrue stories we are subscribing to, our dialogue changes, or views change, perhaps our perception shifts and we look at ourselves and our world through a new lense. Regardless, moving through this work is never easy, some myths run deep. Be courageous on your quest for pure truth. Have conversation.
When darkness is exposed to even the smallest flame, the whole room lights up. Strike the match, feel the warmth of truth and watch your dharma unfold.
