Beethoven's 5th Symphony. No composition musically has compared to this piece of art. The first 4 notes are as recognizable as the golden arches that sit high above approaching cars signaling that McDonald's is near. The visual that these golden arches give McDonalds are the same visual that these note give the Beethoven's 5th Symphony. In just 4 notes the listener's brain is able to process and unfile a memory of the song. It's the first 4 notes of SoufWessDes's song "Tap In" that has the potential to make the this song just as recognizable. The main difference being that SoufWessDes is the conductor of the symphony and is making the whole world "Tap In".
Originally from Houston, Texas, SoufWessDes moved to Norman, Oklahoma and has made his mark on the OKC entertainment industry. Des has established himself as a premier promoter and team member of KnightLife Society, also known as KLS. SoufWessDes, and his various affiliations, especially with InDisThang Ent, have been a critical cog in the Oklahoma City Area. SoufWessDes has since used his music to motivate those around him and bring a positive energy to the community.
Creating a distinct sound. It's the only way to set your music apart these days. Tap In is that distinct sound. The doubling piano notes create a rhyming pattern for SoufWessDes to enter the track and also creates the foundation that builds as the beat builds. This sets the stage for the bass drop that hits and is the point of which SoufWessDes shouts "Tap In". Much like the song the video has a distinct feel. The nighttime theme highlights the gathering of SoufWessDes's homies from the block who in unison display a rhythmic bounce. The flexibility of the women in the video consequently moves the viewers attention and engagement in appreciation for their skill. Back to the music. SoufWessDes's southern draw and creative metaphors is what makes this track really shine. His clever wordplay in the 3rd verse is an almost instructional manual to dope boys. Combined this the timing of his delivery that seem to punctuate his words and the final result is a fire track. One line in the song that particularly stuck out is his basketball metaphor for shooting guard Steph Curry. This line proves that SoufWessDes ain't just swag. He can spit.
Got the pistol on me,
Trey pound thirty clip,
Steph Curry from the hip,
Shootin the jumpers,
whipp-whipp,
