I think that YouTube will still be around for a very long time and the Ad Revenue situation will partially straighten itself out. It isn't a good feeling when you aren't compensated for what you believe to be a fair amount for your content. I have been on YouTube since 2008 and had my mental struggles with wanting to build a large following on there.

We are still able to make a living of of it. One thing to keep in mind tough is that half of the money that my videos make goes to YouTube. Starting to wonder if I really want to make THEM any money...
I can understand how people could become upset with the whole situation and I have had my struggles with it and also with the Steemit platform. It is is extremely hard to make a good living through content creation in general. My dream has always been to be a full time content creator and have a large following. I have never really been able to go for it because it would take years on YouTube and it still might not work out.
Hopefully Steemit can put me one step closer to that.
One tip from a beginner: write something, leave it alone for at least 12 hours and then come back to it before posting it. I have been making a lot of chances after letting my posts sit for a few hours before going on to post them.
