A few weeks ago Google turned off my Adsense account for "Invalid Activity". They would not go details because:
- "in order to protect our proprietary detection systems, we are unable to provide further details."
After an appeal, they actually turned Adsense back on. But I learned a valuable lesson. It is very very important to diversify.
Since Google Adsense is centralized, they can turn it off at anytime, for any reason. Google is sharing revenue with the creators so it is their game. I got used to receiving a steady flow of money from Adsense so when it stopped, I was shocked. It's not very much (about $400/month on average) and I have a few other income streams. But when it stopped it made me realize that I need to take the other income streams more serious.
We have decided to branch out into other methods of income:
- Sell information products
- Crypto income streams (steem, proof of stake)
- Donations/Patreon promos
- Sell Merch
Glad you got it back!
What's their game?
