We've talked about this topic in quite a few previous posts but there's still a lot more to be said about it. We've talked about doing tag research, optimizing your title and tags, writing a great description, taking the time to write accurate captions, the importance of audience retention, engagement, and some other topics. Ranking on YouTube doesn't stop there, though. There are other important factors to consider.
Subscriber/view ratio
The number of your subscribers who watch your video in the first hour, day, and week, is a very important factor in how your video is going to rank on YouTube. This is one reason why it's so important to remain niche as a channel. If you get a bunch of subscribers by putting up a funny cat video, then proceed to do a video about how Steemit works, your Steemit video isn't going to perform well. Those subscribers want to see funny cat video, not a video about "Some random website with magic internet money." This leads me to my next point.
You need to be consistent with your content!
Let's assume you just put out 5 great videos in a row and you're starting to see your subscribers and views increase. Then, the next day, you don't have much time and decide to put out a low-quality video. As a result, not many of your subscribers watch the video. Guess what? YouTube is about to punish you. The next video you put out isn't going to be shown to nearly as many people as your last one. If you don't have anything good to publish, don't publish anything at all.
This same rule also applies to putting out the same type of content. In the cat video/steemit video example above, YouTube is going to punish you for putting out that Steemit video because your subscribers were looking for cat videos and none of them watched it. You need to stay in your niche!
Watch time
One of the biggest factors in ranking on YouTube is your watch time - the number of hours people have spent watching your video.
This is a very difficult category to perform well in unless you have a large, loyal following. So how do you get a lot of watch time? You put a lot of effort into building a large, loyal following. The more popular your channel, the more watch time you're going to accrue on your videos. Remember to stay within your niche, otherwise, your subscribers won't have any interest in watching your videos!
Another way to get more watch time
Long videos rule YouTube. We made the mistake of putting out short videos for a long time. We thought that short videos are what everyone wanted, so we tried to make our videos, short, entertaining, yet informative. As it turns out, that was a very bad idea!
Making your videos longer is an easy way to get more watch time. We have found it very difficult to get a lot of watch hours on our short videos, and we've found it much easier to get a lot of watch hours on our longer videos. Try to make your videos at least 10 minutes long because you're much more likely to rank high on those longer videos.
Don't forget about audience retention.
Keeping your audience watching your video as long as possible is still a very important metric in determining your ranking. So when you're putting out those long videos, don't just throw a bunch of junk in there to make it longer. Keep the content relevant to your topic, continue giving your audience useful information, keep them engaged, and keep them entertained.
If you can make long videos with high audience retention, you are going to be doing very well before you know it.
Thank you so much for share tips and trick about how to increase view on Youtube, as a youtuber marketer i really love your this article....
I appreciate lots too, though I'm not a YouTube marketer
Thank you @TangerineTravels for yet another epic series.
I have been following every of your posts shared by @communitycoin and they are following the right order.
It started with how to gain followers, how to retain them and how to keep beeing at the top of your game.
People (myself as an example) don't really care about the length of time as long as I get quality for my time. I think a lot of other youtubers know the secret of length of time as well, but not all of them are doing it rightly.
Some people might start rightly and ended it by putting nonsense in between and later continue with what the video was all about. It's a pity, I don't always wait to see the rest... Smile
And again, like you said, if you have been posting quality videos and you have nothing of such on ground, it's better not to make videos at all. Yea, this is very correct too.
I subscribed to some channels on YouTube for their quality, but probably as they are gaining the numbers, they allow it to get into their heads and started making less quality videos. As a result, I unsubscribed their channel and I'm sure a lot of people would do the same. Hahahaha
In conclusion:
What works on YouTube also works on steemit, ensure you are in for quality at all time, don't lower the standard simply because you are making waves, a lot of people are checking on your page for the quality, reducing the quality might caused you to loose them as well.
Thank you @TangerineTravels and @communitycoin
It is true
If you're able to apply same principles from Steemit to YouTube, you'll most definitely get same result.
Everything is about consistency and quality.
They work hand in hand.....
If you're consistent but giving out low or no quality, it's as good as nothing.
If you're giving out quality but not consistent, you may lose your audience.....
So it works hand in hand....
Thanks for sharing dear.....
i didnt know long videos were king, thats good to know
I also didn't know that
Engage your audience. Keep them entertained. I love this. I noticed this about your videos. I find myself starting it and I wouldn't know i have gotten to the end until the "gong that bell" aspect. Hahaha. You know how to get your viewers hooked. When the content is good, the long minutes can't be felt. I can proudly say you put a lot of work into your videos and I find myself watching it even on both YouTube and Steemit.
Consistency is also key. When you have been known for something, stick to it because people need to rely on you when it comes to what they intend to look out for.
You have really helped us all with this. Well done and this cut across even on Steemit. Thank you so much. I surely picked lessons from this.
Gracias Amigos.
I find this piece valuable, informative and educative, like myself I couldn't download make myself an interesting video that could catch people attention.
This caught my attention, seriously I couldn't find lecture which is as good as your piece as far as orientation on how YouTube does work, getting desirable title, making it reach a trending peak you have been doing all that o here .
Just like you said, the audience really does matter just like a costumers will wish to get our good to, for them to find it acceptable it must really be perfect. The interest of the audience supersede that of the producer himself.
With this update like this I could make my own video to reach trending in just a matter of time
Seriously they give useful informations that is very helpful. Thanks to @tangerintravels
So the emergence of videos of various types that are not counted, ranging from important, useful, giving knowledge, to the unimportant such as displaying the form of messy rooms, parties, scolding and others. In addition youtube is very loved because this site has monitize facilities or monetize the video that we created.
So google appreciate with the money every video we make if watched by many people. So do not be surprised a 15-year-old child can make a lot of money through youtube just by making a video whose contents just show off the toys they have.
Youtube is very selective in choosing a video to settle on its site, if it violates a given TOS, your video will be deleted or your account is blocked or both. The most severe, certainly copyright violations and pornography + porn action. In this thread will discuss youtube deleted videos with this video deletion note being a trending topic or minimal news entry.
Thanks for sharing
Yes YouTube don't care about you, thru care about themselves, they would rate you by how much your videos is being watching ,once you make a mistake, they would focus on someone else video until you make corrections in uncountable time
Not even to talk of YouTube videos, let's talk of real life, let's assume you own a cinema and you promised to show a particular film talked GO and people came in to watch it and they find out you are showing COME, people won't patronise next time, and technically you are spoiling the reputation of your cinema
The same thing apply to YouTube, you write a title that's not match the video you uploaded, next time people won't watch it even if it's a good quantity
I didn't know uploading videos less than ten minutes is still not fair enough and that's the lesson I learned today
Thanks so much @tangerintravels and thanks @communitycoin for the opportunity
You need to be consistent with your content
If you’re not consistent, you’re not taking advantage of all the opportunities you have to connect with your audience. Creating a few pieces of content here and there might help someone understand a topic better, but they won’t help you hit all of those touch points between your brand and your audience -- and they won’t help you build a meaningful relationship with it. To do that, you need to be a consistent content creator.
In my own thoughts, I will rather go for dtube instead of you tube
Video publishers are not the only users who earn money on DTube. Users who leave comments may earn money too.
Content creators may create accounts on DTube and upload videos to the service.
Thanks for sharing @tangerinetravels
These are great tips you expantiated on
Same rules applies to Steemit and vendors like dtube...Engaging audience and consistent content creation does the magic
kind of, but steem is also about paying for the frontpage...
Yeah, about the consistent content creation, I totally agree....
It's worked for me
This is very very good tips with explanation, hehehe! I really love the way you explain it, I found it very helpful, though I don't do you tube videos, but I have many friends in that field. And I will make sure they hear about this. Thanks for sharing @tangerinetravels and @communitycoin
Upvote and resteem...
This day People don’t read online—they scan. And when they’re scanning through a list of videos to watch, they’re more likely to take a closer look at a video with a compelling thumbnail image.
Rather than choosing one of the auto-generated thumbnails, you can upload a custom image to entice potential viewers.
Thanks for sharing @tangerinetravels
I used to result to view exchange sites for views. I got around 12,525 views(close to 350 watch hours) in total in about 3 months. However, I find you article very useful. Thanks for sharing.
sir thanks tips and trick is really helpful for youtube marketers,
sir i have already gain 1K Subscriber and 4000K watch time, but no monetize, how many days for wait monitize ?
I have also tried to monetize my YouTube videos but not working
It seems like they're not approving anyone for monetization right now. I recently read a quarterly letter written by the CEO who said they are expanding their monetization team to 10,000 people. Hopefully, they'll start approving channels again soon.
I hope they do start.
I also make YouTube videos but don't get it monetized.
Thanks much for the tips though
or just leave youtube and join us on d.tube
D.tube is great, but if we focus our efforts there, we can’t build an audience of non-Steemians to whom we can promote Steem. One of our main goals over at @tangerinetravels is to bring 1,000s to Steem and we need YouTube in order to do so.
I agree with you on this one
While d.tube is also great, focusing all the attention there would hinder you from promoting Steemit to a larger audience....
Since Dtube users are also on Steemit
Thank you so much for putting that content out there! I just started a channel and have 7 subs currently. I am pretty much just doing uploads on whatever I usually did steemit posts on.
Thanks for share with us this wonderful stuff about YouTube tips .
Yeah, a big thank you to them for the tips
That's really informative post about YouTube....thankyou for sharing
Oww dear! Thanks so much for the tips... I should try it out
Maybe I should try it too 🤔
Sure dear, you should
really helpful

You need to be consistent with your content.
Yes consistency is the key in life, if there is no conscience in what you are doing, people may get sick of you,
Thanks once again @communitycoin
