How I made money on Craigslist & YouTube

Hello Steemit!

This is my first steemit post so please bear with me! :)

I am 20 year's old and grew up around buy and selling on Craigslist. At the age of 13 I bought my first iPod Touch and noticed that I could make $10 on each iTouch by reselling them. At that point I came up to my dad and told him about this BUT i continued by saying that "it is NOT worth the drive and you will be spending more on gas!". BUT to my surprise... my father said "DO IT". -------------------------- THIS IS WHERE MY JOURNEY BEGAN!

The process was simple. Post a wanted ad and wait. Eventually someone would call and offer me an iPod Touch that was cheaper then the "market value". I quickly bought it and then within a few days resold it. I never made $10, the lowest amount I would make was $40!!!! This was a way to make quick and easy cash at the age of 13! This was only the beginning!

After mastering the ipod touch resell process, I moved onto iphones. After a little while the iPad was released and then I started selling Macbooks. Now since I was around Apple, Apple, Apple I thought... maybe I should start a youtube channel. By now I was about 16 years old and had the newest apple tech almost right when it came out. And so I started my YouTube Channel TheAppleDevice, my channel URL is https://www.youtube.com/theappledevice.

I centered my channel around Jailbreaking, reviewing and software glitch fixing. Guys please understand me, I was this shy kid who did not have the proper filming gear AND had a stuttering problem. Many of the videos up on my channel today, I filmed over and over and over until my voice was understandable and I did not stutter.

Looking back I see how powerful it was that my father BELIEVED in me. I never ended up making that $10. I made at a minimum of $40, and when I switched to iphone's/ipad's/mac's, I made $100/$200+ on each. AND MY YOUTUBE channel.. I have made over $11K on.

My favorite quote is "Big things happen in small steps". What you do today will build your tomorrow. Yes thats cheesy but its true. Work for your future and believe that you'll get there. Find someone younger then you and BELIEVE in them just like my father believed in me. Trust me you'll see something happen with them!

Right now I am believing in my 13 year old brother, just like my father believed in me when I was 13. He has started his own youtube channel and is working on building an audience. Yes he has 38 subscribers BUT he is doing something, and doing something WILL get you somewhere! Just yesterday a speaker company sent him a $70 speaker for review. He made the review and gets to keep that speaker!!! How cool is that! Here is a link to that review video

So guys don't give up! focus on where you want to be and work for it. Life is to short to just follow the flow!!!
