We're actually not trying to build our YouTube channel for the small amount of ad revenue that may come from it. We're trying to build our following there for a few other reasons:
- It will allow us to get sponsorships
- Possible Patreon opportunities
- Affiliate marketing options
- Once we get big enough, we should have opportunities to get paid to do fun activities that we'd otherwise have to pay for.
- YouTube is the 2nd most popular search engine in the world. It gives us a ton of new exposure and it will allow us to promote Steem/it to a much larger audience.
More than anything though, it helps to build our brand and diversify our income streams.
I thought as much, especially with the need to build the brand. Best of luck guys. Keep on rocking
