This is how we use the bathroom while living in a Yurt on a Permaculture Farm.
If you're curious about the Squatty Potty, this comical advertisement the company made explains it pretty well. I use the travel version because it has folding legs making it easy to store away.

Not too much snow for January, what's your place looking like now?
I am aspiring to get some land for all my permaculture systems.
In the past I have done vermiculture, gardening and aquaculture and I was able to use the waste from each system to power the others.
The vermicompost gives a place to compost and harvest tea and castings, the garden uses that and contributes back to the compost, we ate the Tilapia (that ate the worms), and the plants. The waste was given back and things evolved without external inputs.
Then I found out the well water was FULL of arsenic and I had to bail on that property. Good luck, followed!
Hi @hatchi, it's warm and green these days! Cycling the waste between systems sounds intriguing... very sad that the project was shutdown by arsenic in your well. I hope you'll share here as you rebuild your dream in another place.
Hey @cahlenlee, that's what I'm here for, nice to see other people interested in permaculture and I look forward to your posts!
Peace
