I really want to get a nice camera... but I think this'll get me out taking photos with what I've got... get the creative juices flowing again...
my camera is really basic but it makes me work harder to get the image I want. I am only starting out and its great for me to learn from the beginning how to use a camera properly. I hope to get a dslr next :)
Me too! I occasionally scour Craig's List and eBay for that once in a lifetime deal... but no one ever seems to be in a hurry to sell...
I kind of almost want a 35mm old fashioned film camera... like journalists used to use.

I am interested. Though I have not traveled lot. But I can definitely be posting mostly Himalaya and Philipines as those are the regions I mostly travel to.

I'm watch! Hopefully I don't mis the post missing a lot recently. The way @Steemit is designed does not cater for a large amount of post. They need to develop individual tags and some sort of favourite or notification when posts come up @Steemit ??
We have to remember steemit is still in the Beta stage, they constantly work on improvements. I'm sure there must be somewhere you can voice your suggestions though?

I am new here, but definitely interested in becoming part the photography community. I've been sharing my photos for a couple weeks, but I'm still learning the ins and outs of Steemit. There are definitely a lot of talented photographers here, but with so much posting activity under the photography tag, that is seems like a lot of really good images are overlooked.
Absolutely! And that is the reason behind this project. I want to help newer users on Steemit who haven't got the following already, to become established and to help get their photography seen by resteeming their original work and hopefully providing an upvote too :) Right now, I do a Resteem Sunday every week. If you would like to submit any of your pictures for this, please keep an eye out for the weekly post and share your link in the comments section. I shall also follow you now to make sure I don't miss out on your photography. All work MUST be original and taken by yourself, no plagiarizing allowed :) Ther are also other projects in the pipeline so it is a good time to get involved

Your comment about all work being original should go without saying, but I have been surprised to see a few people with high reputation scores sharing photos that they found on the internet in the various photos contests. For all the people admitting that the photos are not theirs (and still getting upvoted), I sure there are more who are ripping off images and passing them off as their own work. Sad, but hopefully that will change as the community matures.
