Its quite interesting and sad, knowing that we have a platform for Twitter like posts, yet it is seriously being underutilized.
To me, my stand has always been that, a seperate tab for zappl posts be created to enable people use it more.
the above part of the post was written in Zappl, the bottom part was edited and added on steemit because zappl has refused to upload my pics!!. . . . . . .and because zappl has some challenges i saw while running through the platform just now

Like i said above, its interesting and sad, not because zappl isnt an amazing platform , but because the purpose it was designed for doesn't really suite the current steemit yet.
Steemit as of right now is majorly blogging platform, with the social media aspects(interactions, community ) being provided by extra services like rocket chat, discord, comment section, wallet memo etc
The main problem about the steemit system, is the fact that all posts from all the frontends, be it dsound, dlive, dtube, chainbb, etc etc, are collected and able to be seen on the main steemit interface.
I believe for zappl to take of fully, it needs to have a dedicated layer for zaps only.
I dont know how its gonna go, and it may be a stupid idea, but an idea it is indeed.
Find a way of not showing posts with the "zappl"tags, and instead, only show them on the website http://zappl.com.
Another way of getting zappl to really take of is by getting some power weights behind the platform, and getting them to use "only the Zappl platform" for a period of time, to promote it, to make people aware of it.

The last thing i thimk zappl should do is make their interface a bit more beautiful and streamline.
I mean, there is nothing wrong with the interface , but it just too bland for my liking .
This stupid error should also be fixed.
Some time back i thought it was network ,but i am currently in pkrt Harcourt , one of the best city in the country , with straight up 4G internet speed, and I still get the error code, annoying.

More like all posts from zap go into a tab called "zap", not appearing on the main blog, but a seperate blog.
The "melting pot" style.that steemit currently runs will not allow zap to take of well, unless communities fix all this.

Because so long as steemit.com itself is all about good contents, zappl posts will remain undervalued that it will just be few users that will consider using it so as not to have a content of 240 characters on their blog.

Yeah true, just like what esteem app is doing. Though, zappl was upvoting every content posted via zappl.com like 2 weeks back but now it's not so probably due to limited delegated SP.
For the photo not uploading, that's one regular bug on mobile devices.. Its going through on pc.

You make a good point. I actually think Zappl needs its own reward pool, it shall not compete with the blogging service. Steepshot, the Instagram of the Steem blockchain, the same, its own reward pool. All these services are so different from eachother, it shall not compete for the same rewards. You will end up in Zappl hatters to start downvoting when a Zappl post get a lot more rewards over long and quality articles. It is for a reason why all these services are silo services; and the history has proven silo services have the chance to become successful while services allowing all sort of different things, are generally not becoming successful.
yeah, the greatest barrier is going to be differences in quality.
I may not like short posts, and seeing something from zappl share the same reward pool as I may just tip me over the edge to flag.

Fully agree. Issue with the Steem blockchain is; No inbuild control or even T&C on application type; a design flaw imho.
