Seiring berkembangnya zaman, sudah sangat jarang kita menemukan orang yang melakukan pekerjaan ini. Selain proses memasaknya yang cukup lama, memasak Dodol Aceh juga butuh tenaga fisik untuk mengadung dan menjaga api tetap dalam keadaan stabil. Akan tetapi rasanya yang nikmat dan lezat sepadan dengan proses pembuatannya.
