-Graphics Processing Units, or GPUs (AMD is much better suited for mining Ethereum)(4 GB of memory, or MORE, are highly recommended, as DAG files grow with time)
I don't agree with you about Rootstock. It will be a sidechain and will have its own transactions and block time. The amount of transactions per second (about 300) will be a big release on the scaling subject and the block time is comparable with Ethereum. This means that te same smart contracts, DAO's and apps will be possible, but on a way more secure blockchain and with a way more stable currency having a bigger infrastructure. I'm very exiting about Rootstock coming online for the public in Januari and I think it will be a better choise than Ethereum.
steem is switching to equihash, this is why I am interested in building a mining rig, I am not interested in mining ether, but I would if I have the rig. Mining zcash and steem is my motivation for mining. I want to build something for about $1500, so I will buy the parts and put it together over time. Right now I'm looking for a case, power supply, and mother board. and I have to use paypal so I'm shopping on ebay. Can you help me find those 3 items on ebay?
Looks like someone recently went shopping ;)
Hahaha yeah man..I was actually just about to :)

@craig-grant, you could also pay with paypal on newegg.com , they usually have a good selection of computer components.
