On January 28th 2018, the Bitcoin Private team help a conference before a packed, sold-out venue in Houston, Texas. During the conference, the BTCP team took questions from the crowd and presented the overall concept and agenda behind the ZClassic and Bitcoin Private project.
However, the most important thing to happen at the conference was perhaps the long awaited announcement of the Bitcoin Private hard fork snapshot date, which will occur on the 28th of February 2018, with the main net launch and expected to happen 2-4 days after that.
To make sure you receive BTCP after the fork, you will have to hold your own private keys for your ZClassic wallet, and the best way to do so is to use the official ZCL paper wallet: https://www.zclassicpaperwallet.com
As you might already know, Bitcoin Private is a privacy-oriented hard fork of Bitcoin and Zclassic, being the first time in history where holders of a cryptocurrency other than Bitcoin will be able to receive the coin created from a Bitcoin hard fork. Bitcoin Private will feature increased block size, faster transactions, much lower fees and zk-snarks privacy technology which will ensure the sender, the receiver as well as the amount being sent is completely anonymous. Bitcoin Private is a sheer necessity in the age of increased privacy invasion and the downwards trend of overall financial freedom in the world. With the extreme left wing political option being more and more popular in the United States, we must make sure that we have an asset that is very hard to track, and very hard to tax, with a great community and corruption-proof team behind it, which will make it virtually immune to market manipulations which seem to be troubling the crypto world for some time now.
