On April 18, 2010, Zimbabwe celebrated its thirty-first anniversary of independence.
The celebration was held at the Zimbabwe National Stadium, which was built by China. In his speech, President Mugabe once again called on the people of Zimbabwe to unite, safeguard national sovereignty, strive for the development of the national economy, improve people's lives and improve people's medical treatment.
