On one hand, everybody today thinks they would have been abolitionists in 1850 despite what we know of racial believes in both the north and the south at that time, and we just saw a significant portion of the population turn their brains off to do as they were told for over 2 decades of war and then the COVID panic. On the other hand, since I am outside both mainstream movements in society today, I think it's justifiable to argue I would have been similarly apart from the protestant/papist arguments then.

Or they are the weird ones.!? Are we the weird boys for seeing the writing on the wall and studying history? I do not know, feels like it some days.
I really don't care whether people think I'm weird for gaining understanding. The choice seems stark to me. Either gain understanding or be ignorant. I'd much rather be weird than ignorant.
