The Emu did not listen to pose for a photograph

Coming back from Lover's Point, we had one last stop at the Emu Birds Park. But before that I saw lots of turmeric piled up at a road side with a very small cottage. Turmeric from Daringbadi is famous for its authenticity, so we thought, we would bring some as it would be cheap at the source.

These tribal people do not use any fertilizer and use natural resources, so the quality and smell of these turmeric is unmatched. But there was no one around, so I called loudly and a lady accompanying a small kid came out along with two other kids.

I asked, if they would sell these turmeric and she firmly denied saying we can take few free, but these are not for sale, as they sale it in bulk. I did not like to bring for free, so I just picked couple of them, to differentiate between what we get locally. But I was touched by her generosity, they are not rich, but they still offer it for free.

And these people make their own bricks as you can see. For them necessity is the only driving force to work, not abundance, and they definitely sleep better than us.

Driving back around 5 miles, the Emu Birds Park was visible on the main road.

Kids were excited to go and discover the Emu for the first time. Looking at the entrance, we thought, they are kept in a large enclosure, as we heard, these birds can run at a speed of 30 miles per hour.

But what we discovered that only 5 birds were available and kept inside a small enclosure and they were not looking very healthy as well.

One of them was more fond of people and was coming close. Some people had taken peanuts to feed them and kids wanted to feed them as well, but nothing was available nearby. The snacks that we had was not suitable for them.

Spending half an hour, we decided to leave from here, starting the very long drive back to home. On our way back, Eco Retreat was visible from the road, and we decided to stop for a minute.

ON the right, this lovely spot drew the attention of the lady as she was searching a place to do a reel.

So we all stepped out and climbed to the top and the crew successfully did the shootings.

And from here I made them promise not stop anywhere else, as we were getting late, and I had to drive even though rest all can relax.

But on the way, I could not resist stopping after seeing these fresh vegetables on a village road side. And believe me, the price was one third of what we get here and they were farm fresh. So we packed as much as we could, with no more space left over.

When we left from Eco Retreat a driver had recommended to keep an eye for this fresh sugarcane juice, that would come just after a bridge, where a very tall idol of Lord Hanuman stands.

Since then, the kid had it in his mind and was vigilant to watch all bridge, and finally we found it(was so much fun). We drank half liter each and packed couple of liters - the recommendation was pretty good. Unfortunately we had heated arguments with a local politician over me parking the vehicle on the left, some people just try to create mesh out of anything. In the interest of time, we preferred not to complicate it.

After driving 4 hours at a stretch, they wanted to eat something and this road side shop was pretty good to offer them a lot at very competitive price. That sweet is made of Black Gram, unique to the locality, and we loved it. I always wonder, how they manage to offer at half price than cities, and still be profitable.
