There Is Actually A Very Rational Explanation Why Aceh Turned Into An Islamic Stronghold

in #aceh7 years ago (edited)

When browsing through random new articles here on Steemit, did you ever wonder why so many of them are written by Indonesians from Aceh with an Islamic content and that on the pictures to the articles there are plenty of headscarf wearing women? I don't know why there are so many active users from Aceh on Steemit, but there is a specific reason why this island has turned into a stronghold of Islam which a few years back even introduced extreme Sharia punishments for seemingly unimportant "crimes" that elsewhere - and also in Acehs past - are considered normal behavior.

Aceh apparently wasn't always this way, it used to be just a part of another tropical South-Eastern Asian island with lots of sun, beaches and on the verge of becoming wealthy while retaining are more or less free and secular system.

But then, something extreme happened and you can see the long-term results in the image of this post by @deniandepa.

I really commend this exquisite article for its concise and enlightened information, it makes me present at the scene.
Nevertheless, Allah give signs in various forms not only to complacent the believers but also to serve as warning to the non believers. Allah guide those whom He will but with their cause and they cannot blame anyone for their disbelieving. The tsunami that happened is a warning to the entire world and most likely to the surrounding area of aceh. If the act and lifestyle of those of Sri-lanka, Thailand and Indian correlate those who are washed by tsunami, they know that Allah, the Almighty has shown them mercy and opportunity to revise and review their dwellings on earth to that of which Allah has commanded. Allah will guide everyone that go through this excerpt rightly.

(14:4) Never have We sent a Messenger but he has addressed his people in their language that he may fully expound his Message to them.5 (And after the Message is expounded), Allah lets go astray whomsoever He wills, and guides to the Right Way whomsoever He wills.6 He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.7

  1. This implies two things: First, Allah sent down His message in the language of the people from among whom a Prophet was raised so that they might not have any excuse left that they could not understand the language of the message. Secondly, this ruled out the presumption that a Messenger was ever given the message in a different language merely for the sake of a miracle. For Allah considered it more important to make the people understand the message and guide them rightly than to satisfy their curiosity. Obviously the purpose could best be served only if the message was sent down to them in their own language by their Prophet and not in any other.

  2. That is, although the Messenger conveys the message in the mother tongue of the people, which is understood by everyone of them, yet all of them are not guided aright. This happens because of the fact that all of those who understand a message do not necessarily accept it. For it is entirely with Allah to show guidance by means of His message to anyone He wills and to let go astray anyone in spite of it.

  3. As Allah is All-Powerful, no one is able by oneself to get guidance or to go astray, for none is completely independent but is under the power of Allah. But as He is All-Wise, He does not use His power blindly so as to show guidance to anyone He wills and to let go astray anyone He desires without rhyme or reason. In fact, the one who gets guidance from Him gets it on merit and the one who is let go astray is deprived of guidance because he himself deliberately chooses deviation.

And it's not koran... It's Qur'an :)

It doesn't matter where you come from. Qur'an means something that can be recited. Because Qur'an was recited upon the prophet and he (SAW) recited upon his companions. Qur'an and koran are two different words :)

More than 25% of worlds population do :)

And that's your mentality... Go to your guru Google it will tell you that more than 90%terror attacks are done by non muslims.

And you shouldn't talk about Islam. It's an advice. Take it or leave it.

And that's all you can do... Smh
