RE: Chilly Evening Run! {Come on Spring}

in #actifit6 years ago

Oh, girlie!! It has been too cold for the likes of me! Well, in the evening or early morning.

Yikes.

What happened to my almost-spring? I laced up the other day and thought I was going to turn into a popsicle - and then, the next day, it got colder.

I like to keep that body moving, I know that when I stopped for an injury, it took me forever to get back the pace. There is something exhilarating about getting out there and honestly, I run, but not as long and hard as I used to, I offset it with walking in between, but, then I go further to make up. If that makes sense.

It is not the miles but, that complete feeling of being there. It's a place in my head.

Keep on running, Katie! You are amazing!

Look at you spreading love all over the place! 😘 As cold as it was here for a few days, I know you had it worse! I'm hoping the last of winter is over for everyone! Makes it easier for everyone to get out and get moving when you're not a popsicle.

Well I'm glad you've bounced back from that injury! Doesn't matter how fast you go, just that you GO! 😉

Sending you warm thoughts for the weekend ahead!

You are right and the injury was a year ago, but, breaking my distal fibula took almost 4-6 months to get really good and a year before I could really run without worrying. Oh, we worry so much about little things.LOL

A little worry is not always a bad thing if it keeps us from going out too hard too soon. It's really easy to get impatient with injuries and not give your body enough time to heal. Better to wait a little longer sometimes to make sure you're really ready to get back to it! 😊
