Congratulations on your actifit activity, that's a nice count. I still can't believe what's happened. I was watching the news last night for hours and my heart was aching.
I hope they're going to rebuild it, although that would happen from one day to another. I've heard the restoration work that has been going on has taken up all the budget they could afford. Now all that is gone and the majority of the cathedral burned down.
At least I am among the lucky ones who had the chance to visit it.

It is hard to imagine it even catching fire. There seemed to be so much stone work and not so much to burn. I don't know much about its construction though. It is very sad that this has happened.
Construction started in the 12th century and back then stone was the most used construction material. However, the roof structure was made of wood. That was the only way they could do domes.
