My Actifit Report Card: April 5 2019

So this is the gym where i go for crossfit classes. At the moment as i'm getting back from an extended break, i'm only going twice a week and will build it up as i feel comfortable.

I love the classes, always challenging, different and rewarding. Olympic style weight lifting moves and then 8 to 14 minutes of high intensity interval training (HITT) is a common class. Makes it easy to clock up Actifit steps.

So who beat my ACTIFIT count today? :)

That looks tough! Lots of hanging and body-weight lifts? Yeah, my shoulders would hate that!

Almost 12000 steps sounds like a lot in comparison to what I've seen on your daily reports thus far, I wonder if I can make 1200 today :D (Searches half-ass for his fit-bit flex....... )

haha i'm lucky to get above 6k most days. thought id brag a little this time. 1200 steps sounds like a good count. means you at least got out of bed and walked to the fridge:)

If i get a few beers in then that count could be quadrupled :D

Very impressive activity Chief. Lol, check @bluengel and @roger5120 they should inspire you to go higher. Nice count though.

Lol, getting the 10k these days is really taking a lot though. You should really be attending that class more often.

I think I beat you since I had about 23k today. It took 3 different sessions to get that though. I've Bern thinking of the HIIT classes at the Y, but a little scared of them, lol.

congrats on almost 24k! give hitt a go worst that can happen is you get over excited and do too much and then cant move for a week lol

Lol, I can see that happening too. I can't seem to do anything less than at 100%. We have a woman in our Silver Sneakers class that barely goes through the motions - I think why are you even here? But then I tell myself, well being here and at least moving around is better than just sitting in the recliner at home.

im very similair 100% or nothing. ive learnt to set smaller goals and eat humble pie and with that comes consistancy and enjoyment for me. ie right now my only goal is to show up at crossfit twice a week if i actually do anything it's a bonus. when i get there and i'm standing next to a girl who can lift twice as much as me i eat humble pie and let it be. no room for big egos -it used to make me try to overdo it. (i have been a fitness freak mostly all my life now older i only do what i like and try to be kind to myself)

I'm slowly trying to evolve to that mentality! No one cares about what I do or don't do in the class, except me! So I have been taking it a little easier on myself. I just like to get the most benefit for the effort I put out.

Edit: yes i guess you did oh well. yep easier when i go to the gym in the morning , have 5k up before lunch

Looks like a nice place ;) I try few times Intense workouts... but personally I think you should be in a really great shape to go for that. Other way it’s better to give something to your body that gonna have enough time to adapt to the exercise and all the moves.

yeah it takes me time to build up. i take it slowly to avoid injury. i'm 48 not 16
