How this poem came to be...
I wrote this poem today as I have these omnious thoughts, which keep invading my head all the time about an important appointment this week. I don't have a good feeling about it and am trying hard to shake it off, so I wrote down how I was feeling.
What If You Could Throw Your Head Away?
If I could throw my head away for just a mo...
Just to be able to rewind, take it slow,
Instead of ninety miles an hour thought trains
Ignoring the repeated tugs on the reins.
Take my head and bounce it around the court,
Knock some sense into it with a little sport.
Throw it up in the air and through a hoop
And give a wonderful celebratory whoop.
My head could be used in a football match -
Detach, kick and despatch...
But don't leave me wide-eyed
With that ol' offside.
What about throwing my head out to sea?
So it could relax and float without me.
Take in the sounds and views
No arms, no legs, no excuse.
I love you really head,
But stop flooding me with dread,
Stop with that warring worry -
Let's have a life less blurry.
Breathe, put your headphones on.
listen to your song, the sound of your centered chaos, your own sweet symphony. As the waves come crashing on to the boulders of your mind, you hold your breath, waiting for a sign.
and then when you cant keep it anymore you exhale....
the tide has come , the tide the has gone.
and you still have your song.
So start by putting your headphones on.

If you were able to throw your head (shown in the picture above), you wouldn't be able to write this poem. So better to keep it in normal position.

I really understand you. in one period of life when I, too, would think the anxiety and unpleasant thoughts I wanted to be able to open the head as a box and wash my poor brain brush with soap and water. To clear all the bad and start living with a light and clean new head.

So, this gave me a real shrunken head, and I thank you for it @hopehugs and @adsactly as it is very original and enlightening into what happens in the brain. Sometimes it is not one's own head that does this, it is an outside force.
most times, i get directly to post i need, i dont know how. Right now and even before now, i felt like throwing my head away. I have been having constant headache that i resolve to cutting my hair but learnt it wont help. Been asked to examine my eyes instead. The head ache is really much. If i could throw my head away right now, i will. Thanks for this post . But all the same, i have to keep my head, even high up.lol

Very relate to this poem. Like I would end up staring at nothing but my thoughts are already running. I would try not to relax but because the mind is so persistent that it just randomly pops out things, events and other kinds of stuff
With that, I sometimes dance to clear my mind, watch anime to calm myself, eat to let out the stress and I draw to express myself.
But anyways, this poem is very nice! So much feels and really amazing! One way to express your feelings and emotions is to write. Poetry is a good choice!
