Enlightenment, or ascension in its other common name, is really effortless. Here are there simple tools that are at your disposal, free and always available, that will give a boost on your path.

- Water - drink water. Stay hydrated. Water is used by your spiritual body to release blocked emotions. When you drink enough water you allow the natural circulation of emotional and mental debris in and out of your body. It's no wonder that often people dream about water (sea, lakes, rain), since this is a symbol that a cleansing has been taking place during the night time.
Stop now and go drink a big glass of water.

- Breathing- There are the regular, unnoticed breaths, and there is conscious breathing. Do you remember I was speaking about the power of the now moment and that it's important to plant your awareness in the things that are happening now?! well, it's not easy because the mind tends to escape to the past or the future. But when you take deep breaths, and you are aware that you do so, it's impossible for the thoughts to leave the now moment, just as it is impossible to sneeze with open eyes.
Try this now. Take a deep breath and see for yourself. It's impossible for the thoughts to leave the now moment.

- Smile - such a simple body mechanism that is so rarely used. When you wear a smile on your face you are automatically transmitting to your mind the message that you are ok, that all is well, that you are satisfied. Even if that is contradicting the outer reality, your mind receives this message and begins to create a corresponding reality! Not only that, the smile sends a clear message to your inner self that you are in a trusting mental attitude. And trust is the key element in allowing enlightenment.
Do it now - smile. Fake it. It can even be a small smile, just like I have on my profile pic. Automatically you will feel better.
These three tools, in case you don't realize yet, are free and always there for you to use. What do you have to lose? Use them! You have no excuse. Don't say "If I had money I'd do some enlightenment"; "If I had more time I'd dedicate myself to ascension". Drink water, wear a smile on your face and breathe.
So simple, so easy, so profound.
Enlightenment is always there. Small enlightenment will bring great enlightenment. If you breathe in and are aware that you are alive - that you can touch the miracle of being alive - then that is a kind of enlightenment.
It is not by getting out of the world that we become enlightened. But by getting into the world…by getting so tuned in that we can ride the waves of our existence and never get tossed because we become the waves....
Very inspired, and I really like and agree when you say Smile it is a message that we are in good condition. And I also want to say that in our religion Smile is worship or alms. why I say it like that, because the smile gives happy message to others when we smile happy others, when we make other people happy then we have given alms to him. We must first keep the mind open, and those around us will have to try to keep them happy, then breathe body and, mind will remain like everything, very beautiful sir, in the picture of your post.
As you are, right here at this moment, is it – effortless enlightenment. There’s no getting anywhere or not getting anywhere. This is what’s meant by the teaching of sudden illumination. Hesitate, and it’s lost; waver and it draws further away.
Being the one to sync with peace really brings you closer to enlightenment, which essentially helps us to see the world from a different perspective.

Thanks @nomad-magus, It is my first time to know that water can help releasing stored emotions. I used to use deep breathing and mindfulness.
I just gave it a fake smile, even though your post made me smile anyway when I wondered what would happen if I didn’t drink any water or if I didn’t breath.lol However, that’s what my wife always says “drink a lot of water, even if you don’t want and take a deep breath when we are out on trip deep in the forest, or at the beach”.

This is really amazing tips and in my opinion this is ancient advise too but sometimes people forget that basics learning helps to create strong base and same way if we follow these three steps we can stay in now moment and it will help in clear body movements and also it gives cleansing effect. Life is dependent on simple things but in my opinion we are forgetting the simple things and moving towards to take the burden of huge things in life. Di setiap anjuran dalam ilmu kesehatan ialah diwajibkan untuk minum air mineral dan untuk kebutuhan minum tercantum atau berapa jumlah yang di anjurkan. I suggest on top of this all, the first thing to do upon waking up - at least 3dl of water :) As we are 70% of it, and we can imagine it as our fuel. Thank you for the tips.
