RE: My application to join the Alliance - a family of steemians

:)
I was nominated twice now by my buddy @improv for comedy open mic, so I probably should make an entry this week. I'm a lot funnier with a straight man, seriously Jonboy you are the Abbot to my Costello!

@c-squared has no requirements, you have to join the discord and then you can nominate other people's posts. As you show your stuff you can get moved up to more responsibilities, they let me activate the bot now if I think a nomination is good.

Curie is a great project, got a lot of delegation early on, and they try to reward newer authors for great content, to encourage user retention. I have been commenting on some of the curie'd posts, they are generally longer content, so it takes longer, but its really good stuff!

sir ecoinstant..with c-squared that bot gets unleashed on a post and it votes from everyone's account that is in c-squared? In other words the c-squared members don't have to go and vote individually?

my post today got hit with them again, the photos of the cowboys being thrown off the bulls in mid-air are stunning. I guess that helps I don't know.

I put the photos between about every 2 paragraphs but I don't know if that makes it harder to read or what. I have zero experience with this stuff.

Do ya'll have weekend plans to do anything interesting?

I don't think thats how it works...It may have a trail, in which those that want to follow the votes can, but I don't do that. The bot gives the accepted posts a small upvote, a comment and a resteem. The resteem is the big thing, people who follow the feed for curated content will then see it, instead of looking through so much other stuff, that's a feed with pre-approved content that has been reviewed by at least two people.

I like to do just that! I put up my pictures and try to put one or two paragraphs in between each one. Sound like you do the opposite, type all the text and then upload the pics. But that's also what I think looks the best.

We do have some plans, tomorrow to do some yard work, and Sunday, after church, my grandmother is singing in concert choir, the final show for this performance, so we will go see her do that. I believe a friend of hers is having a wake as well, sad but true that when you move to a retirement community you lose a few friends every year.

sir ecoinstant..thanks so much for the confidence builder concerning the layout of posts. that reminds me I gotta go over and see what kind of crazy thing you did today!
yeah the retirement community and losing friends, don't move into one of those! lol

I did just finally get my video up, tomorrow I would like to get one up earlier, let's see if I remember to make the video as planned ;p

See you tomorrow Jonboy, its our final day before the results are released! Good luck and God speed :)

oh good, now I'm going to go and watch another crazy video by the one and only ecoinstant! one of the elite members of the world conquering Steemit platform!

hey does your mom do videos? that's probably why she's so famous. tell her that I have been hearing about the great Snook ever since I got on here. And I'm like "snook?" what in the world is a snook? that was before I learned about all the crazy usernames on here.

One of my favorites is manwithnoname! haha, he's a tremendous guy, big heart and loves people,...in other words, a typical Steemian! ha! this thing has a life of it's own, can it survive even if the real world market never starts using Steem? can it get that big? what is your professional opinion.

that reminds me Ithink I still have to answer your convoluted reply to me about your politics. gonna have to go over there and straighten you out. yep.
oh, I'm sorry this is rambling but I am now at 500 sp thanks to Asher with another delegation that he did for about 6 of us!

but I don't know what to do with it except to vote for alot more people, I think it's up in September but is still a boost but I'm so ignorant about this stuff that I don't know how to best utilize it.

I went to have a look at your wallet, happy to see you've got your balls all straightened out by @jackmiller and @balls2steem!

And congrats on the delegation! I won a delegation early and it really motivated me to keep it up and keep going.

I shared that first part with her, she is tickled by the word 'famous' being used about her ;p

Use the slider wisely! I like number theory, and as such do 7, 11, 33, 77 votes, but at your side might be best sticking to quarters, just play with it. You are not going to have too much success with one percent, you need a certain threshold to lock it in, so if you get too far under about 80% vp and start trying 1% votes it can fail on you. I think they are fixing that in the upcoming hard fork but will allow zero value voting. Anyways, tech stuff is happening!

Check out the new article I resteemed from Taskmaster. Just to get your enthusiasm back up ;p

sir ecoinstant..I cherish your help and advice and friendship as well! I don't have a clue what this means though.."as such do 7, 11, 33, 77 votes, but at your side might be best sticking to quarters"

I've never heard anyone talk about a number theory. how long did it take you to learn all this stuff, did your mom help you get connected right away or teach you herself? my vote power is at 40% but no one seems to know why it's an advantage to keep it higher except that your votes are worth more.

ha! I'm glad I made her smile! she probably doesn't need anything to do with a dang redneck from the country but perhaps our paths will cross sometime in the future.

sir ecoinstant! hey a friend of mine just sent this warning to me, I'd like your opinion on it if you please, he's another brilliant analyst and very smart so I have to take his opinion into account. here's what he is warning:

"With the price of Steem continuing to tank (below $.95 as of this morning--less than a 1/3 of what it was when we signed up three+ months ago) and Steemnow.com off line, I would say the chances are greatly increasing that the site will not survive much longer. I am hoping I am wrong, but I think the big fish have probably already cashed out.

The continuing signup overload from the poorest places on the planet also worries me.
I'm not going to stop posting, but be careful how much work, effort, time and hope you put into this."

what say you to this sir?

I do have a few thoughts on that. The main one is a Warren Buffet quote, 'Be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful'

I believe in the technology, even especially for the potential it has to help people in the poorest places on earth. I have been attending witness forums and reading up on the updates to come, and I am very excited. I personally am doing the opposite, buying small amounts of steem on each dip. I'm not going 'all-in' or risking my livelihood, but I sure like buying things at a discount!

And what if it does crash and burn? Well, I still will have learned a ton, met great people and made a lot of money. But that crash is not going to happen soon. More people might go, but they will be back when prices stabilize. The real threats to steem are that future platforms gain a greater market share. Steem still is the leader in blockchain bloggin, and technology wise it is a complete powerhouse. A competitor could be built on EOS, but they are years behind us then!

And notice that its not that the price of Steem is dropping, the price of cryptos are dropping. The whole space is taking a beating from the delayed ETF decision, which has nothing to do with Steem.

How do you think @papa-pepper got where he's at? He just kept blogging during the low times too!

These are my thoughts, would you share yours with me?

ecoinstant! uh..my thoughts? well..I don't have any original thoughts but just impressions. I wanted to hear an encouraging and logical argument that you would set forth and I'm thrilled to hear about it.

If you are in on the Witness forums and so forth then in addition to all your knowledge and expertise which I don't have, you have access to information that percentage wise, few people on steemit have. the clueless masses. so that makes me trust you even more. and if things go South and people are mad at you, good luck getting to you in the mountains of Columbia! lol.

some people are very suspicious because Ned was selling or something? I don;t know, but they see that as a horrible sign.
I don't know, I just have fun and talk to people! lol.

thank you sir for your excellent thoughts on the matter! me have Mrs. J read them!
