Such a touchy subject and one that needs a lot of discussion. As a Canadian I am glad we have strict gun regulation. As an outsider it is easy for you and I to say that guns are the problem, but there is more to it than just the guns. America is a huge country with a lot of problems within, asking people to give up their guns when they don't trust their neighbor, let alone the government, is unlikely to be successful. The big thing is, this needs to be an open discussion, not just a "I am right, you are wrong" type thing that we've seen for too long

i don't necessarily think they should give up guns but no civilian needs an assault rifle you know? and to be fair if i lived in america i would probably want access to guns as well. Im worried they are too far gone now that gun control wouldnt help anyway but yea discussion is necessary.
"Assault" is a term the media uses to inflame people. A fully automatic weapon is already restricted and illegal for most people, the exception being dealers and exceptions approved by government. Semi-automatic is only allowed to be sold to the general public.
