RE: Still don't need gun control America?

in #america7 years ago

I like how everyone compares America to other countries to try and convince us we're doing something wrong.

America is different than every other country on the planet, and has been for the last almost 250 years. We were one of the first to have the balls to stand up to the people who said we can't be who we want to be.
America = Freedom.
Yeah, we've got our problems, and I feel like we act as a bully to smaller countries, but our freedom to possess guns is rooted in our knowledge that in order to preserve our way of life, we may need to fight some more people that say we can't. Every American has the right to own a gun, because you never know when someone is going to try and take what's yours.

Sort:

America is so far from free its ludicrous, and the mindset that everyone is against you and you may need to kill them is one of the biggest issues the world faces.

I agree your government is fkd and if i lived there i would want to own guns to protect myself too. They are too far gone now.

In relation to comparing you to other countries, you are similiar in a lot of ways and in a lot of ways youre not but if you think America was the first to stand up to people you need to have a look at history.
