As Steemit is growing I expect more topics and categories will come. And it's very welcome. We don't want a social network where all people are talking only about the network. Imagine Twitter where all users are talking about Twitter itself.

I've seen this argument brought up quite often. There's nothing wrong talking about the platform, especially now when it's growing. But it's inappropriate to put unrelated posts under the #steemit umbrella
