RE: Dance, RAVE, and Rebellion

in #anarchism7 years ago

My first rave was NASA in the summer of 1992 at The Shelter in NYC. I took about a 10 year hiatus from 98 to 08. I'm 42, a father and business owner and more of a diehard raver now than ever. Escapism is certainly a primary aspect of the culture. So is anarchy. If you ask me raves are about as close to anarcho-agorism as mainstream society has gotten thus far. And we're only just getting started. BTW, raers don't really do "drugs". Psychedelics and stimulants and sacramental and therapeutic molecular compounds. Raves are group therapy no matter what the intention upon entering one.
