RE: Tyrants feed off of our fear, and it is time to shed that fear & embrace freedom

The masses have little to no respect for their individual freedom or sovereignty, and will, in fact, even cheer and celebrate when the government steps in to centralise even more power into the hands of the few at the expense of the many.

This hit me on a pretty deep level.. Great article by the way! Though I wanted to say this helped me realize something.. I think it goes a little deeper than people don't respect sovereignty.. I think they don't respect it because they don't understand it. For the most part. There may be some predators who understand it and capitalize off of that understanding.. But.. The more I think about it.. I think most people do care.. They just don't even know what freedom is, they never studied it, and you would think you wouldn't need to and people should just sort of inherently know it.. But.. Many don't.. I think a lot of people care but just never really studied the subject very deep.. And that makes me realize I need to help educate even more since I do have a pretty good grasp of it..
And here I am trying to quit Facebook.. When.. I should probably be there like you are trying to bring more reason to these people..sigh..
I give you a lot of props for being so patient with them. A lot of these people drive me crazy. But.. They are some of the ones who needed to be reached the most.. So.. Gonna have to think on this for a while.. Thanks for another great article!

Thanks @apolymask

While it is true that many simply don't understand or have an idea of what freedom is, there are also many who don't want the personal responsibility that comes with it.

It's easy to hand over your responsibility to government or some 'authority' figure and let them do all the thinking for you. Then, when things go wrong, they have a scapegoat to blame rather than looking in the mirror and assessing their own actions. Most people want security, not freedom.

Trust me, I have little patience on FB too, lol.

I think perhaps that is something we all must battle with on some level, but I think if you truly understand sovereignty you want to take the responsibility, otherwise you probably don't truly understand it. WHen you get it at a deep level, I think you want to be as free and independent and self sustainable as reasonably possible. But.. I guess I could be wrong, I've been known to put more faith in the human spirit than I should have before! Heh.

But yeah I agree.. A lot of people don't want to take responsibility, I think that's more because they've been conditioned in the wrong ways and have looked at life through the lens of those who want them to be that way.
