The @papa-pepper BABY BUNNY PHOTO UPDATE - 1 Week Old (almost)

in #animal8 years ago

Since the wonderful @smailer bought us our female Chinchilla rabbit named "Silver" we decided to breed her. Thankfully, she is an excellent mother already, and even had one baby two days after the first four were born. Some users, like @ladypenelope1, wanted me to be doing frequent updates on these little ones, so I'll try to put out about one per week!

The four bigger bunnies were born last Sunday (the solid colored dark one and the three solid white ones) and the little spotted one was born on Tuesday.

This one will mostly be photos, although these little ones sure do wiggle a lot, so getting really good shots is difficult. So far, they are all doing well, even the little young one, and they growing fast and getting fur. Silver has still been pulling out some of her fur to keep the little ones warm, and the whole family is excellent! They are super cute, and getting big fast!

Enjoy the photos!

The bunnies and your children are so cute.

I agree, and I can't even choose which is cuter, the bunnies or my children!

Such sweet photos!! My grandma used to have white bunnies too, for creation and selling. I didn't see baby bunnies in a long time, thanks a lot for sharing!!

I am glad that my post allowed you to see some little bunnies again, and to bring back some good memories of Grandma too!

Thanks, @liliana.duarte!

She left bunny creation a long time ago, because of her age! But she's still ok, and today his her bday!! :)

Thanks again!

BIG baby bunnies.

They are FAT little buggers already!

Awesome bunnies. Are they for eating, fur, or selling as pets?

Actually, they are for all of the above.

While we have them, they will be wonderful pets.

Then, if we need food, we will eat them, if we need money, we will sell them.

If we eat them, I plan on tanning the hides and using the fur.

Felting their fur is a lot more profitable. Brush them daily with a rubber brush, gather fur, either process into thread or sell as is, can be part of a mix. Felting fur sells for an insane amount on specialty craft sites like Etsy, far more than meat or hides. If you put a picture of the rabbit up it will fetch even more. I recently acquired a rabbit to be used for the same purpose. If you try it let me know how it goes for you with your breed of rabbits.

WOW, excellent insight and advice.

I had never thought about that!

I am familiar with etsy and believe that there could be a great market for that!

Thanks @saiku! - Much appreciated!

No problem, let me know how it works out for you. They shed twice a year so you'll hit the jackpot at that time.

Cool, we will see what happens!

Thanks again!

They let you out of jail already?

Cute bunnies. They grow so fast!

Yeah, the PD is pretty with it around here.

They let me pay my bail in STEEM, so I was out as quickly as I was booked!

baby bunny are so cute :D

INDEED!!!

Thanks @levycore!

Thanks for the news. I wondered a sequel to the birth story :)

Yeah, looks like I had better keep the updates coming!

If only every user could say that!

Also, I got a couple of really good ones coming up soon, so you should enjoy that!

That they are.

We don't handle them much, but the children love it when I let them!

I was so amazed at how quickly they are growing!

I can't wait until they start hopping too!
