Great tits on the tree

This spring I visited an old tree that grows near my living place, several times for some bird photography. You can see a lot of birds like the great tit the blue tit, the restart and some blackbirds there. Most of the time only separate not in flocks. But still this is a good place to take pictures of them and I don't even have to drive with my car like to the many other places I take pictures of birds. Another positive thing is that you have a very nice light in the evening or when the sun comes out after a rain shower.

In my opinion this is the best time to take some pictures, a mixed day with clouds and the sun hiding behind the clouds and only occasionally direct sunlight. The colors are so much more vivid in this situation. The day I took these pictures was such a cloudy day with a lot of times when the sun came through. I am already looking forward to a nice day in spring where I can take pictures like these again. Just lying in the meadow and watching them gives me a pretty nice amount of satisfaction too.

I agree, wonderful light... and you've captured all the details too!

thank you. Yes this is only possible on days like this when the sun is not to bright because of the clouds and the better contrast because of the rain the hit the land some hours before. Perfect time for taking pictures.

Yes, bright light is no friend to the camera... That's also why early morning and evening light is good for shots!

Nice shot.. Great tit a pretty guy..😊

Thank you. Ahh don't let your cat from your Profile picture catch my cute bird. :-) just kidding.

All 11 indoor cats now.. 😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺
