For years, by brother @customnature and I were passionately in to the invert hobby, specially tarantulas and true spiders. We'd attend, buy and sell at reptile shows and I remember buying a captive born brown recluse. I had several kinds of exotic, often dangerous tarantulas, but upon doing a few Google image searches for "brown recluse bite", I slowly made the decision to move it on to another hobbyist [...anyone that was willing to take it]. Neurotoxins are one thing, but necrotic venom. Nah. No thanks! Great photos, though @papa-pepper. Nerves of steel.
Wow! It sounds like you've had some great hobbies! I love all animals, reptiles, amphibians, insects and arachnids included.
I'd say good move on passing that spider on. Right now I'm hoping to find some more Pygmy Rattlesnskes soon, and then go swimming with the water moccasins when they come out! Thanks for stopping by!
