Spring. Markers. Art

in #art7 years ago (edited)

I decided to make myself a day off from the online sketch course ... and draw a spring! This year I missed a period of snow melting. The snow melted quickly and did not even leave a puddle ... Therefore I compensate for this sketch.

I paint with Graphit markers in a limited palette: gray-blue, yellow, beige and blue. Only 7 markers))) I strive for minimalism and I'm preparing to go to the open-air!

I outline the building and the whole picture with light gray and beige markers. Gradually, I study every bit of the picture, I gradually introduce colors. The building is in the background in yellow-gray tones, the trees are gray with light twigs, because there are no leaves yet. And in the foreground is a slope that leads to a pond with reflections in it: a yellow building, blue sky, bushes and trees. And the nearest plan is snow with traces and small thawed patches.

It seems to me that the sketch helps to catch this moment of the transition of winter to summer. This is a small urban spring landscape. So what do you think?

It's nice to do something for a change compared to the usual things that you are doing.

I haven't really experienced snow so this one is a significant piece for me. Nice sketching.^^

I love how neat is your progress video! Very well done :)
All the best,

Wow! I love the reflection in the melting water! Such a great composition. I have always loved the reflections in water, but I don't think I would have ever thought to do it in the midst of melting snow. This is genius and so awesomely executed! AWESOME!
