New Plan: A Web Project

in #art5 years ago

Ok so, out of the blue I decided to start building a website to put things that I make on.

I started out with almost zero coding knowledge, or any idea how to do this but it seems to be going pretty well. I'm coding all the files from scratch. I'm sure there are things that aren't done to professional standards (things that a web designer would cringe at) but it's something that can be endlessly refined for all of time so...

To be real, I'm not even sure how to post on here properly. I went through some markup documentation the best I could though. I'll keep playing with things.

This post is a log of where it has gone so far.

Each image is a link. The elf goes to random comics that I'll make whenever an idea for one pops up.
Below the elf is a pirate. I think I'm gonna call him officer cocksucker. Maybe. Below that is a cg film that I made. I finished it in December 2019. If you look closely you might be able to make out who it is. There is a home page:

Then on the top right is a type writer; though I'm not exactly sure what is gonna be written there yet.
Then a contact page and finally, in the bottom right, is a paypal page for anyone who wants to donate. I'm probably not gonna put ads on the site because, well, fuck ads. I'm not trying to make any contributions to fake reality. Rather go broke and hungry.

Anyways, the type-writer and the asshole pirate still don't link to anything yet but I'm working on it. Maybe I'll make another post showing what is already done; or maybe you should just go check it out for yourself. There's not much there but here's the link. Elf Portal
Maybe you'll like the film I made.

Hehe looks great. I'm impressed as you started from scratch. It even looks good on mobile. This will make a great portfolio website. I'd be great a button to go from one comic to the next.

Your comics would actually fit great in there if you have some kind of series. You can post from Hive with a couple of specific tags.I'm also trying to learn web development and making a Hive interface for comics and novels https://inkito.io

Let me know what you think of the design. I'm thinking of ways to improve it. ;-)

Wow. I just visited your website and it is really nice. You have good drawing skills too. I'm still a noob in both those areas. Thanks for the compliments though. I'm gonna check out your site more tomorrow and give you some more feedback on it.

I'm not sure if you can direct message on here anywhere so I'm just gonna message here. Anyways, I'm working on stuff right now. If you like yeah, I would love post it on your website. Just follow what I'm doing and see if you like any of it. It might be a while but I have lots of ideas. I just need to put them together and keep improving.
