My favourites are the black circles on the white background. I love how simple designs can be so effective.
You've got some seriously big stencils by the look of the impressions on the brown paper. 😃

Hello !
I liked them better than I thought I would when I decided to just use black and white. I think a tear or strip of most of them "might" be interesting if they fell in just the right place. We'll see eventually if I figure out where the right place is. ha
The one on the right is little less than 5 inches wide and slightly more than 9 inches tall, but that probably includes all their borders. As you can see on the impression, the top of those have a little extra space with a hole so you can put them on a ring or hang them some way if you want. The other two are in a "border" set that is probably about 3 x 11.
I only owned about 3 before I got into this recently. They are almost like a normal sheet of paper size, but when I had used them before, I had cut a section out of them so they would be easier to handle. I don't think I'll be cutting any of the newer ones.... but that is today, who knows about tomorrow ? !
Ah. They are not as long as they look in the photo then. Must be the angle.
I had a phase of buying stencils and then made a few of my own. I've not bought any for a while now but then I'm not buying anything new.
I have one of my paintings in the hallway that is black and white. Back in the early days I followed an art prompt to use colours you wouldn't normally use and I chose black and white. Like you I surprised to find I actually liked it. So much so that I had it framed and hung it in the house.
You never know how things will turn out. That's what makes it so much fun for me. 😍
When I only had 3 or 4 stencils, I put them in a 3 ring binder. I took a sheet protector, put a colored sheet of paper in it and then slid one stencil in front and one in back. That way they were a little protected and I could still see them easily. I am semi-sort-of wonder if I might do them all like that..... but not sure. I did "borrow" the photos from Amazon from the pages where I bought them and put them in a file, so if I wanted to use one, but could not remember what all I had, I could just click the file open and look through, instead of shuffling the actual stencils all around. I thought that was kind of brilliant. LOL.....
My loves are so colorful, I'm not sure how a black and white could make it to a wall here, but I have seen some I thought were very attractive all the same. Never know though... one day. I have seen many art pieces that had a hit of the black and white that really popped.
More things to try.... more fun to be had !
I used to do the same with stencils and then I got one that was too long for the file and it sort of fizzled out. Also I have sets that are in a single packet bu, like you, I really liked being able to just flip thorugh the file rather than digging through them. Alo, I find that they get tangled and easily damaged when just in a pile. Maybe I'll find myself revisiting the file method if I have a stencil sort of day during The 100 Day Project. 😁
Always more things to try . . . more fun to be had.
