One of my favorite activities is trying to pair creepy albums to the silent horror era.
I've always had a thing for the black and white film era. Something about it seems so much more authentic. I love the concept of painting it! You're really talented :)
GOSH. Thank you so much! ;___; I feel the same way about old films. They relied heavily on atmosphere, dialogue, and music more than they did sound effects and I fucking loved that. If you ever care to check it out, the best pairing my friends and I have ever done is Wisconsin Death Trip with Boards of Canada - Music Has the Right to Children. It is mind-blowing how perfect they are together. BOC sampled a lot of creepy children's voices for it.
Also, one of my dj friends played Lindstrøm over Dario Argento's Profondo Rosso. Creepy, but sexy!
Awesome!! I'll have to check it out, thanks!
