I collected 6B up to 6H pencils and still only use 4 pencils from those ranges. You're better at gauging values and contrast. I transitioned too early without the fundamentals and now I'm still stuck learning them in the digital landscape. What's your discord name? I hold the same name there.

hiddenblade is also my username in discord :D It's never too late, though. Just like me, I went to art school, went through techniques and stuff but I wasn't able to do it on full force. I learned a lot, but I think if I have enough time (studying art without those minor subjects that I don't care about haha) then I believe I would be able to practice more. Right now since I just graduated, I am going back to basics even if I already know how to do paintings and stuff. Basics are really important and you will have a hard time achieving your goal in drawing/painting if you transitioned too early. Take it slow and someday you'll be able to achieve it.
