- Hi @bleujay , I am looking at your artwork and loved it. Someone who captures the essence of a flower the way you do, must have a beautiful aura, and be very spiritual. You know I am a 70 year old person, and at this point in my life, decided to look for something nice to do, and chose to learn how to paint landscapes. So far a lady teaches me how to sketch directly from a reference. I am a teacher, and what I might know is the basics in terms of colors and irregular strokes. I would like to get some advice from you for a beginner like me. Heh, heh, heh. Greetings and love 😍.

Greetings @numa26 ,
Thank you for writing so kindly about my artworks. ^__^
Lovely to hear of your choice of Art as a subject to learn more about.
To answer to your query of advise for a new Art student.
If one desires to become an artist....
*They need the three D's; Desire, Determination, Dedication.
*They need an instructor....(so happy to hear you have one....choose one that paints similiar to the style, you desire to learn.)
*They need to practice everyday.
Best Practice: is to use your own reference material...subject matter which you photographed yourself.
Hope this assists in this new journey for you.
Principle: It's an elephant, one bite at a time.
Happy Christ-mas to you and yours, Bleujay
