I wanted to try something a little different.
So, I found a nice spider last night, which of course gave me an opportunity to take some macro photos. But, I knew that all sorts of people take macro shots of stuff like this. I didn't just want to put out something "regular" that you'd basically seen before.
A BACKGROUND GRID
I decided to place the spider in an unnatural environment first. Rather than being outside on a rock, leaf, or log, the spider would be in a strange environment that greatly contrasted what you would normally see. Here is what I came up with.
EDITED AND TRANSFORMED
Then I wanted to take things to another level, so I began to edit the photos by adjusting the saturation, tweaking the contrast, enhancing the shadows and so on. Now the photos have a very different feel and hopefully look like something you've never seen before. Here are a few of my favorite edits.
WHAT DO YOU THINK?
So, honestly, how do you think I did? Doe you like the contrast between the "grid" in the background and the spider? Have you seen things like this before? Have you ever tried taking photos like this? Which one was your favorite? Personally, I was impressed with the final production and enjoyed the process. Steem on!
here's the proof:As always, I'm @papa-pepper and
proof-of-gridrunner-spider
Until next time…
Don’t waste your time online, invest it with steemit.com

You are off to a great start with the new camera! I personally don’t know what half the options are when I’m editing. It’s nice to see someone else trying different things too. BTW, I like the image you settled on best
Thanks! I'm just learning as I go with editing, but I like using this online editor: https://www.befunky.com/features/photo-editor/
wow
this is what i have @papa peper
I see that!
The Green Spider

It's beautiful.......
I think you did well with the edits! They really improve its appearance. Some of them make the spider look like it has supernatural powers, like one that would bite Peter Parker!! :)
Cool! Glad that you think so. I hope that all is well with your family today! We'll stop in next time we are up if that's cool with you guys. Be blessed!
Absolutely!! Will it be in the springtime? Blessings to you and yours as well!!😊
My brother should have a baby soon, so we will come up after that.
Noganoo threatened to knock our teeth (yes, even my wife's) out if we come back to Rapids, but maybe the baby will be born after he goes back to jail.
Either way, we should see you before too long. Thanks!
Why would he say that to you guys!?!? I think it's a couple months yet until he goes to jail. Has he ever tried apologizing for everything he did, instead of attacking people and causing divisions? He needs to own up to his mistakes and try to make amends instead of being on the defensive all the time. If he sees this, I'll be on his hit list too but oh well. It's only a matter of time...
Yeah, too often it is what he has been doing lately. Hopefully it'll end.
a remarkable discovery
You have a good talent in photography, I have a hobby and job in photography, I would be glad if you could rate some of my posts, thank you.
Wow !!!really nice picture , at some point the spider looked like an alien spider or something ....
wow they look beautiful..different style..nice job..i like the last one..sort of black and white one which a light spot :)
I like that one too.
Wow, totally unexpected. Previously, I've never seen a spider from a short distance like this. Apparently similar to the monsters. Thank you for sharing, @papa-pepper
I don't like spider, they are annoying to me because of the cobwebs they spin. Because of the personal obsession I have for them, I have never tried taking a picture not to talk of editing but rather run away from them, scare them away or kill them.
But this view you showed here will make me want to try taking a picture and edit.
The last edited production is nice to me.
Well-done sir @papa-pepper
I am glad that you could still enjoy it.
Cool Spider. I haven't seen like that... Smaller I've seen
It's good the spider is very cooperative while taking photos...
Do you still have him with you?
No, he is no longer here.
wow this is a good demonstration and its amazing how the spider looks.
You have done something uncommon. And you have thought out of the box!!!!!!! Good to see these creative photos of yours.I like the 1st one.It has a different look than the rest of the pictures
-cheers-
Nice! I'm glad that you enjoyed it!
You are so creative @papa-pepper. You create it in a different way. I have never done and seen before. This is very unusual. This jumping spider looks like on a high-rise building wall. I love their brown pictures. Thank you @papa-pepper. It's a taste inspiration for my work. Because I always use the macro lens in my post. Good luck always for you @papa-pepper.
Thanks you!
wonderful work out there
in all the captured i will preferred the white and black edition of the captured, that really bring the three dimensional view of the spider
and also the skeleton structure of the spider.
nice work sirsir @papa pepper that was an indescribable captured
Laba-laba yang bagus
The little love I have for spider was born out of the love I have for the film "Spider Man". I don't like it to snap and probably edit because of how irritating it is when one encounter its web. I will one day take a picture and have a grid by grid edit like you had above. You did a nice work there, your sense of picture edit is great
Thank you for your encouragement!
Gosh, I love the edits. Nice works.
They made it look pretty cool! Thanks!
That's nice, I love your concept. Nice photo
Thank you!
Great post
this is a beautiful spider, my message should you should be very spaced with spiders, because spiders are very dangerous if the bite

Your resourcefulness and originality know no bounds, your new cam takes wicked pics too. Nice one big boss. Cheer$;)
nice photography of spider and appriciate your new thinking. i am also intersested about animal but little bit scared .
I really dig the change. I like the fourth picture the best. Do you know what type of spider it is? I love playing with the different settings and contrasts...even just to give something normal a look that isn't quite normal!🙃
Cool! I like the effect!
I think taking photos of spiders or other 'creepy crawlies' on toys would also be interesting. Might creep out some people who dont like them, but a macro photo of a spider on, say, a doll's face, or climbing legos, would be really neat.
Cool post! Cooperative spider!
I was snapping spidy pics yesterday as well! I like the contrast with the grid.
I need to get into your head sir and know the things that interests you. Hahahaha
Not being a big fan of spiders, I would have to say the photos are well-done but entirely disgusting. :)
I'm ok with spiders sometimes when my nephew is playing with it I let the spider crawl at me, but with your edit @papa-pepper I had goose bumps,,, amazing edit... you took it to a different perspective 😊😊😊
Thanks for appreciating it.
@papa-pepper You always do some different things in which no one don't do or try to do. That makes you different from others blogger. Your love for animals and pet attract others steemians to be following you.please keep doing your good work @papa-pepper.
very nice photography and art.
please keep on.....
Haha, this post will most likely scare the shit out of many people! :D
But hey, great idea for a photosession. To be honest, i like the colored photos better.
Oh, and i hope the spider is still alive and kicking ;)
I can't decide between the first two pictures under the "Edited and Transformed" portion of your post for my favorite. They are all really good pictures that would cause my daughter to shriek so loud your ears would hurt, the contrasting background of the grid really makes the spider stand out in all the pictures. :D Thanks for sharing. :D
God bless you and the whole pepper clan. :D Have an awesome day my fabulous friend! :D
I like the spider on the grid. Shows him off real good. Like the untouched photos. Other than the last with spider in spot light, I'm not a fan of photo-shop.
Yeah... that's partially why I included the originals. Thanks man.
Nice shots!
The grid looks cool... like a sci fi film.
Pretty cool and creative! Anything but regular!
Thanks @daveks!
Nice bro, it looks like a delicious waffle ruined by spider invasions. Good experimentations for sure.
Here's my contribution to the spider post.
I like the funky special effects. Nice shots. I personally like the one with the spot light effect.
Then, eventually, the poor spider managed to escape the strange place he suddenly found himself and disappeared into the bush before the strange huge thing could grab it and put it back on that strange square shaped thing.
And those flashing light, it could blind a poor spider forever. :-)
