The pottery does look nice with the gold covering the previous cracks.
I don’t think it’s wise to drink out of that mug, I wouldn’t eat or drink out of anything with a scratch or crack as particles from the finish could get into your system.

Evening Cowboy! Alas, summer is over but fall is always pleasant. The leaves are starting to turn. Do you get the fall colors where you are?
I'm sure there are some trees in parts of Texas that change colors but on our property we have pine, evergreens and cedar trees and they all stay green year round! lol. So it's pretty boring compared to everywhere else in the Fall.
