Beautiful transition between colors. She looks elegant and mysterious. I would like to know the whole story.

This is a short story about her ^^.

Thank you Teresa =).

Oooh the colors in this one are gorgeous! * A* Those greens pop out from the orange so nicely..!! Beautiful work!

I'm glad that green and orange work together nicely ^_^.

Thank you beechan <3.

Very cool idea and drawing. Well done, @scrawly!

Thank you trin =).

I say it’s a good blend and a good job. ;)

Thank you Blue ^_^.

You're welcome! :)

The look on her face says it all... </3

Awww she was unhappy at first, but then she cheered up after she had a pep talk with her mum.

Thank you... should I call you Hali? You have so many nicks ^^.

Hali is fine, if you like. Lol, having 5-6 names is confusing, I agree

Thank you.

Such a shame having a malfunction in the process of her creation and now having to endure the pain of veiny arms. But maybe she doesn't feel pain? Love the colour scheme and the painterly quality. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Oh, actually her malfunctioning creation is a blessing in disguise. This is her story that I wrote a long time ago.

Thank you Ally, you're sooooo nice <3.

Such a strange and dreamy colours, scrawleroo <3 I love it very much * ___ * She absolutely glow~ Love the palette you chose here, with the green and the orange meshing together so well, like a dance of tension and light * ___ * So pretty~

I still love the small story that went with this one, and I love the design still, too ! The concentric circles are so subtly and elegantly delivered... The bouquet, her dress, and the moon... Beautiful~

One of my favourites from you, hands down !

❤❤❤❤❤

You gave me such a beauuuuuuuuuutiful comment on the b&w version so I was quite afraid that this one will not live up to expectation. But I am glad that you like the colours also :D.

Thank you spider! <3

.. looks like she's up to no good. ..
I like the water color texture.

What do you mean, she is an angel ;).

Thank you adamada ^_^.

You definitely succeeded with the painting feeling! It looks so soft and pretty aaahhh

Ahhhh alright I believe you if you say so, thilahchan <3.

It was amazing she is beautiful and the detail of the veins is very good!

Thank you for your lovely comment, akarantain :).

Did I ever mention that your style is very similar to Miura's Berserk? I really love it, the eyes especially, I'm in love with them!

Miura??!!!! No way! I looove his art, but I don't believe you xD.

Thank you though :D :D :D.

Send her to the Island of Misfit Toys, I guess. She'd made a good companion for an obsessed hematologist.

When we start manufacturing conscious objects there's bound to be trouble. Ever seen Battlestar Galactica?

I've heard a lot of good stuff about it but I couldn't find a good way to watch them. Too bad :(.

And this girl is fine where she is, right besides her mummy, who happens to be her creator too.

Thanks Winston. It's been sometime since your last post eh? ;)

Ohhh that's another lovely illustration, really like the colours and it's cute AF haha

Zankyou melooooo ^_^.

Such a gorgeous looking artwork, scrawly! Despite the expressionless character. I'd imagine it's because of the 'engineering' process she went through? Her hair is pretty, especially with that orange outline.

Yes, since they are engineered creatures, they still need some time to machine program themselves to adapt and develop sophisticated library of human expressions. In this picture, this girl is having her first birthday ^_^.

Thanks Adam =).

oooh these colors are popping!

Thanks Ed ^_^.

The colours and values in her dress a very nice, almost like tie dye!

You're right, Jeremy. I didn't think of the similarities before.

Thanks :).

You used very complimentary colors and it turned out looking so good!
I love her expression, makes her look very doll-like, a little bit like she is devoid of emotion!
I can only imagine how it is living with such malfunction. One bump of your hands against the edge of the table and yikes! XD

Ouch, if you describe it that way, she does have to take more care to use her hands. But she is also quite lucky, without her defects, she will be shipped to work as slaves to people who buy real doll figures like her. I think it would be a more miserable life ^^;.

Thank you hentikage ^_^.

To me it has a watercolor feel with a beautiful and convincing palette. Also like the black and white you show in the "step by step".

You are so good and attentive. I am glad to receive your kindness, Reinhard :).

God damn I love this, great great color choices. Reds running up arms is icing on the cake, but my eyes keep going back to the dress blends. Such a cool piece, can't believe this is digital, but then again maybe real water would never allow the colors to bleed just right like it turned out here.

Yes, if I do this with real media, the result won't be as precise as how I want it to be. I'm too used to be able to undo changes and I'm clumsy in real, so expect some muddy blob instead xD.

What a nice comment, thank you cryplectibles :).

I absolutely love this piece! I can stop looking at it. I think the effects you can achieve nowadays in digital art are great.

If you allow me, this is very much how I pictured one character of a story I posted here a while ago : )

Thanks for the great art!

I'm glad you like my drawing :D.

Thank you amirani. Keep writing ok! ^_^

Though the artstyle is a general Anime artwork theme, this reminds me (especially with yer description) a favorite anime series of mine: Ghost in the Shell. In particular, the "Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd GIG" series. I mean I want to gosh all about that and how that, with Spirited Away as well, got me into watching Anime as a favorite medium of mine as a teen. But that's a story for another time (and maybe a good reason and influence into my works of "fiction" as well).

Now unto the artwork itself... The reddish arms showing the corruption that would make any narcissistic perfectionist (surprisingly not a redundancy) pissed off and want to scrap them. This painting could be the bot escaping the facility and trying to live life or seeing the last moments of their life before the corporation sends in the guards to scrap her. Regardless, it does show that the society the robot was created in still wants to commodify every lil' thing they can and make fetishes outta that. Yet, every so often, they run into hiccups like her which send a strict message of what they're doing. Not only that they want to create the perfect commodity, that they are reminded that they themselves are commodifying existence to the likes that would even scare the Gilded Age Bourgeoisie. Yet they're lost to it as their consciousness soon reassures them and they enact upon the decision to continue to reproduce the nightmare they created which will force them to face these reality-tearers from time to time.

Unto the robot (which I shall refer to their for the sake of myself) itself, I can totally imagine a manga dedicated to their travels. Where first they escape the facility to later becoming self-conscious that they recognize the self-consciousnesses of other humans as necessity to get them to recognize their own self-consciousness. And it could be a very beautiful one that goes beyond the æsthetics of the robot and the beauty of imperfect perfections.

Upvot'd and resteem'd!

Her name is Claire and I wrote about her story a long time ago, you can read it here if you are interested ^^.

I'm glad that you took the time and effort to tell me what's going on through your mind while you are looking at my drawing though. I think it's a great and interesting interpretation! :D

Thank you ^_^.
