Though the artstyle is a general Anime artwork theme, this reminds me (especially with yer description) a favorite anime series of mine: Ghost in the Shell. In particular, the "Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd GIG" series. I mean I want to gosh all about that and how that, with Spirited Away as well, got me into watching Anime as a favorite medium of mine as a teen. But that's a story for another time (and maybe a good reason and influence into my works of "fiction" as well).
Now unto the artwork itself... The reddish arms showing the corruption that would make any narcissistic perfectionist (surprisingly not a redundancy) pissed off and want to scrap them. This painting could be the bot escaping the facility and trying to live life or seeing the last moments of their life before the corporation sends in the guards to scrap her. Regardless, it does show that the society the robot was created in still wants to commodify every lil' thing they can and make fetishes outta that. Yet, every so often, they run into hiccups like her which send a strict message of what they're doing. Not only that they want to create the perfect commodity, that they are reminded that they themselves are commodifying existence to the likes that would even scare the Gilded Age Bourgeoisie. Yet they're lost to it as their consciousness soon reassures them and they enact upon the decision to continue to reproduce the nightmare they created which will force them to face these reality-tearers from time to time.
Unto the robot (which I shall refer to their for the sake of myself) itself, I can totally imagine a manga dedicated to their travels. Where first they escape the facility to later becoming self-conscious that they recognize the self-consciousnesses of other humans as necessity to get them to recognize their own self-consciousness. And it could be a very beautiful one that goes beyond the æsthetics of the robot and the beauty of imperfect perfections.
Her name is Claire and I wrote about her story a long time ago, you can read it here if you are interested ^^.
I'm glad that you took the time and effort to tell me what's going on through your mind while you are looking at my drawing though. I think it's a great and interesting interpretation! :D
Thank you ^_^.
